ABOUTKEELY
Keely Kelleher, 23, was born and raised in Big Sky, Montana and started skiing at the age of two. Keely grew into her Montana lifestyle finding many of her talents in outdoor sports. Kelleher excelled in freestyle kayaking and skiing at a young age. Growing up with an older sister, Brenna Kelleher, the two pushed each other in skiing and other sports. Brenna went on to become the 2001 World Junior Freestlye Kayaking Champion at the age of 18. However, Keely found a love for skiing and determined her efforts towards being a professional ski racer. She skied for the Big Sky Ski Education Foundation before moving on to Rowmark Ski Academy, Salt Lake City, UT in 1999.She was named to the U.S. Ski Team in 2003 after a stellar season and performance on the Europa Cup. Injury sidelined Keely for 2 full ski seasons, but she has since made a valiant comeback from a badly broken leg and was again named to the U.S. Ski Team for her fifth season. Her focus is targeted on World Cup and Olympic competition. She is the first skier from Big Sky to make the U.S. Ski Team and the only skier from Montana on the alpine roster. Keely is Big Sky's first competitive representative on the world skiing stage. Keely's love of the sport is infectious and as they say in Montana..."She'll do us proud!"
