It was another exciting week on the Europa Cup tour. I finished 6th in the super combi in Tarvisio which is my best sc result ever. The next day in the Europa Cup DH I placed 6th again just a couple tenths from the podium. The course in Tarvisio was nuts!! The track was two minutes long and had a nice variety of flat light, bumps, high speeds and nice air. I had a lot of fun on the course. However, on the first training run I wasn’t focused and I ended up almost landing on my tail end off a jump. I ended up “playing tuna” which is what my techinican, Corn, describes as crashing and get stuck in the saftey netting. The crash was scary but I got right back in the saddle, like a true Montana girl, for the race. I gave each day 100% and I am satisfied with how I charged and mentally how focused I was; nevertheless, I can feel the podium and I’m so close each race. I’m willing to be patient though and keep truckin’!
Other than that I am in Kirchberg, Austria right now taking some nice days off before I head to my next races. I am pumped to say that my next race will be the World Cup in Sestriere, Italy! After a strong month of results on the Europa Cup tour I was invited back to World Cup racing!! Yehaw! You can watch the races on www.wcsn.com and I believe our first training run is on February 6th. Watch for me!
Enjoy the pictures below of Tarvisio Italy!
All my best!!!!!!!!!!!
