Here are some of the sights and great pictures from the month of January in Europe!
Stop 1: Caspoggio Italy
First stop on the racing tour Caspaggio, Italy. View of the SG start.
Beautiful Italy!
To get to the top of the race course we rode three slow double chairlifts. There were some amazing buildings.
You can tell the bib draw was exciting for these kids!
Stop 2: St. Moritz, Switzerland
My coach Kraig Sourbeer with his new friend. The Swiss Army came to St. Moritz to keep our course as fast and smooth as possible and they did a fantastic job. I think there were around 150 of them there working on the track. Thanks guys!
On a sunny day there is no better place to ski fast!
Stop 3: Lenggries, Germany
Hailey Duke on her way to her first Europa Cup slalom win! Setting the world on fire Hailey yehaw!
Two U.S. girls on the podium Hailey and Sterling!
Stop 4: Tarvisio Italy
The top of the gondola. It’s amazing how Europeans build little towns on the side of huge moutains.
My technician Corn (right)Â making my skis fast at the start. He did a killer job!
The DH course was so fast and fun. We had some huge turns and big air!
Going fast on race day.
Chelsea Marshall in 3rd place in the DH portion of the Super Combined. I was three tenths from the podium in 6th. So close to two U.S. girls on the podium….I ended up 6th in the SC and Chelsea was 9th. It was the best result U.S. girls have had in a Europa Cup SC ever.
Having some fun in the finish. Kraig, me and Laurenne Ross.
Well that’s all the pictures I have for you during the month of January. It’s always an adventure with me!
Best Wishes,
Keely
